At least two people, including a baby, were killed and multiple others injured after a series of tornadoes ripped through Oklahoma on Sunday afternoon. The tornadoes caused widespread damage, leaving thousands without power and prompting the governor to issue a state of emergency for 12 counties.

The tornadoes touched down around 4:30 pm EDT and tore through the state for several hours, leaving a path of destruction in their wake.

The hardest-hit areas include the cities of Sulphur, Davis, and Wynnewood. In Sulphur, a tornado destroyed several buildings, including the town's elementary school. In Davis, a nursing home was damaged, and several people were injured. And in Wynnewood, a tornado overturned a semi-truck and caused significant damage to homes and businesses.

The governor has activated the Oklahoma National Guard to help with the cleanup and recovery efforts. The Red Cross has also set up shelters to provide assistance to those who have been displaced by the tornadoes.
